Resilient Web Design is a free book by Jeremy Keith. It’s not your average web design/development book and lacks the usual code samples you might expect, but instead, it’s more of a history lesson, followed by a current affairs report, followed by a forecast of what’s to come. Overall, the book attempts to convince the reader why progressive enhancement is the way forward for creating resilient web designs. If you have an interest in, or actively practice web design, you should read it.
It’s been a while since I’ve been tempted by a technical book, but this looks good.
