The Dick Turpin Roadshow
Jul 29, 2011 (about 9 months ago)
Recently, Becky and I were invited to co-host episode 6 of the Dick Turpin Roadshow. We have been friends with the hosts, Matt and Pete, since we met them at the first OggCamp, so we jumped at the opportunity to join them on their podcast.
We had a great time recording the show. We ended up chatting for a good couple of hours and we discussed all sorts of nonsense, including Linux, trees, black holes, Ubuntu/Unity, CoCs, LUGs and much more.
If you are interested in listening, you can grab the podcast here. I hope others enjoy it as much as we enjoyed recording it.
P.S. The podcast could be considered NSFW.

Phil - it was a damn fine show, filled with plenty of chuckle material. Many thanks to all concerned..

That episode is just brilliant, I’ve listened through about eight times now and it’s still as funny as hell. I’m sure I can speak for Matt when I say “We love you guys” if you pay us enough we’ll have you on the show again sometime. :-D
P.S. It is Not Safe For Work or your granny, I’d even be dubious at letting small puppies hear it? :-)

Funny podcast! Becky really nailed it with the line about Batteries!
I might point out that the #! community is still small, by comparison to Fedora or Ubuntu. A Code Of Conduct seems to be a tool for larger organizations, mostly to trump bad behavior. Or to have the common sense to step in out of the rain. While it might seem over-kill now, it might prove useful down the road.

@merelyjim, agreed, the #! community is small and luckily we seem to have been blessed with smart, sensible and friendly members. Hopefully we’ll never need a CoC. :)

Philip, is there something about your atom feed? Firefox won’t load the “live bookmarks” for it, or any of the sub-feeds. All other sites’ feeds work OK, and yours used to too…

@johnraff, yes, I think there is an issue with it. I am in the process of migrating to WordPress, so hopefully it should be fixed up soon. :)
